That’s precisely the vibe at Camp Margaritaville RV Resort & Cabana Cabins in Auburndale, Florida. The rest of the world seems to melt away as you enter this sprawling tropical oasis. The Margaritaville brand is synonymous with outstanding amenities and top-notch service, and this family-run and operated RV resort manages to take the brand to an even higher level. Every aspect of the RV park was thoughtfully planned with RVers’ wants, needs and desires in mind, and there were even a few that you never knew you wanted.
The RV resort is on the lands of a former blueberry farm, and the same family that owned and operated the farm owns and operates Camp Margaritaville. Their passion and dedication to creating an unforgettable experience are evident in every corner of the RV park. Guests told stories about the above-and-beyond attitude of the owners and staff to help ensure birthday celebrations were a huge success and vacations were unforgettable, and those experiences keep this park full of repeat guests. The park is beautifully maintained, cared for and designed to provide easy access for rigs of all sizes, creating a welcoming environment for families and individuals alike.
Camp Margaritaville Auburndale offers 326 RV sites and 75 cabins, with some upgraded Tiki Sites and Motorhome Suites. Tiki sites are wildly popular, and it’s easy to see why private tikis, which include a tiki bar, sink and TV, are perfect for gathering outside. Not an RVer? No worries. With beautifully appointed cabanas offering king-sized beds, a full kitchen or kitchenette and all the cookware, tableware, towels and linens, you don’t have to be an RVer to enjoy a tropical-themed vacation. RV sites are large, with wide concrete pads and patios. They’re also beautifully landscaped. Instead of grass that requires loud lawnmowers for maintenance, sites feature artificial grass, ensuring your stay is peaceful and free from the noise of loud lawn equipment next to your RV.
The park stretches out from the “island,” the epicenter of Camp Margaritaville, with a sizeable zero-entry resort pool, a 147-foot-long water slide, a tiki bar, mini golf, large public gas fire pits to gather around, an ice cream truck and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Looking to grab a bite to eat while spending your day poolside? Check out The Feeding Frenzy or Frank & Lola’s Pizzeria (try their delicious pulled pork nachos). All the kids’ activities happen under the shade of The Green, a huge, covered outdoor space on the island. Here, kids can experience foam parties, play gaga ball or 4 square in the air, participate in crafts and challenges, and even try their hand at an obstacle course. The daily activities calendar is packed with plenty to keep everyone of all ages busy and entertained, and the staff ensures that no one will be bored, catering to the diverse interests of all guests.
Also located on the island is the massive Joe Merchants Camp Store, full of clothing, water gear, toys, food, shoes, sunscreen, drinks, ice cream, snacks, groceries, camping gear, and pet supplies. You can find a second pool and bar area near the back of the park. Here, the License to Chill Bar and pool area overlooks Lake Myrtle offering beautiful views with a quieter and more laid-back experience than the island. The list of amenities is seemingly endless at Camp Margaritaville Auburndale, with multiple dog parks, dog runs and dog washes, playgrounds, pickleball and basketball courts, e-bike rentals, fitness center, golf cart rentals and even an onsite farmer’s market two times a month. The onsite pavilion is a great entertainment space for music venues, parties, weddings and rallies.
The RV park is conveniently located less than an hour from Tampa and Orlando, making it the perfect base camp to explore area attractions like LEGOLAND (R), Walt Disney World (TM) and Universal Studios Florida (TM). Outside the gates is the entrance to a bike trail providing miles of paved pathways. Also located near the bike path entrance is a large dog park for those wanting to explore outside the park.
