Conveniently located just a half mile off I95 is CreekFire RV Resort. Pulling down into the long drive, you begin to feel as if you are worlds away from the hustle and bustle of Interstate 95. A massive live oak tree drapes lazily across the drive, beckoning RVers to slow down, relax and settle into the slower pace that the South offers its visitors.
Newer to the RV campground community, CreekFire opened in October of 2017, and their growth and desire to reinvent what an RV park is has not stopped. The park is beautifully laid out across 105 acres and boasts a 35-acre lake. Amenities abound in this RV resort which offers a year-round pool, lazy river, hot tub, splash pad, rally building, fitness center and on-site store offering unique and local gifts. The list continues with a gorgeous welcome center surrounded by a true southern porch complete with gas fire pits, comfortable seating and plenty of space to just relax. The list doesn’t end there. Guests at CreekFire can enjoy the onsite restaurant with a deck overlooking the lake, a beer truck and food truck along with live music on certain nights.
Itching to get out and explore the lake and the RV park? The resort offers John Boat rentals, kayak and canoe rentals as well as golf cart, peddle cart and electric bike rentals, all from the convenience of the front office.
When we interviewed management about their future plans for the park, they are looking to add additional, and unique, ways to stay at their resort. A possible yurt village or tree houses were a couple of options mentioned, as well as fixing up some retro trailers to rent. To date, guests can book a stay on one of their level, all-concrete pads that offer ample space and full hook ups. Guests can also rent a well-appointed cabin overlooking the lake and if you are a tent camper and are lucky enough to grab one of their two tent sites, you will pitch your tent on a private dock, overlooking the lake.
Fido was not forgotten at CreekFire and the fenced in dog run area is a great place for your pooch to stretch their legs. Feel like stretching your own legs? Take a walk along the gravel trail that surrounds the lake for a quiet, peaceful, shaded stroll.
In the world of RV parks, there are parks that claim to be a resort and there are places like CreekFire, who define what an RV Resort truly is.
